Coconut-Shell Carbon Filtration for Better Taste and Odour

The FLT-UDF-10 is a 10-inch UDF cartridge filled with coconut-shell granular activated carbon. Designed for compatible filter housings, it helps reduce residual chlorine and substances that contribute to unpleasant tastes and odours in water.

Practical Replacement Cartridge

• Granular activated-carbon media: Uses adsorption to help improve water taste and odour.
• PP housing: A white ribbed polypropylene shell with blue end caps encloses the carbon media.
• Compatible system applications: Suitable for household or commercial RO systems, water purifiers and filtration systems that accept this cartridge format.

Check the Fit Before Ordering

Compare the cartridge dimensions, end-cap profile and sealing arrangement with your existing filter. A nominal 10-inch size alone does not guarantee compatibility with every housing. It may be used as a carbon stage after a suitable sediment pre-filter, according to your system’s design.

Installation and Initial Flushing

Isolate the water supply and depressurise the housing before replacing the cartridge. Remove the protective wrapping, install in the correct flow direction and ensure the seals are seated correctly. Restore the supply and check for leaks.

New granular carbon cartridges may release fine carbon dust, making the first flushing water appear grey or black. Flush according to your system’s instructions until the water runs clear before use. Do not use the initial flushing water for drinking or cooking. If discolouration persists, stop using the cartridge and contact Aqua Cares Cambodia.

Replacement Guidance

The suggested replacement interval is 6–9 months. Actual service life depends on water quality, consumption and operating conditions. Replace sooner if taste or odour returns or flow declines. Flushing does not restore exhausted carbon’s adsorption capacity.
